Pool Construction
The process begins by first laying out the pool. Laying out the pool (allows the homeowner to see exactly where the pool is going to be placed in the yard). Excavation begins. While the excavator continues to dig the pool, one of our employees begins to shape the pool walls and bottom with a shovel. Sometimes ground water is a problem when a pool is being dug. Truckloads of gravel are brought in to control the ground water as well as pumps that extract the water. Excavation can now resume since the ground water has been controlled. The walls are erected and the pool is now ready for the collar to be poured. Concrete is poured around the entire perimeter of the pool to provide a base for the pool walls. Pouring the collar. Once the concrete collar has setup the plumbing can begin. Plumbing The entire surface of the pool is then covered with a mixture of vermiculite and portland cement to give the pool surface a smooth finish. Most of the pool surface now has a layer of the vermiculite and portland cement mixture about 1 1/2 inch thick. Troweling the shallow end of the pool. The equipment is plumbed in. Once the vermiculite bottom sets up the liner can then be installed. Little by little the liner is fed into the track along the perimeter of the pool. While the liner is being installed some of the dirt left from the pool dig is used to backfill the pool. The liner installation is complete and the pool is now ready for water. Concrete is poured. Templates are put down on the concrete and then stamped. The finished stamped concrete deck. The completed project.
