Step 1 - Smart Sticks® for continuous sanitation.
BioGuard Smart Sticks® kill backteria continuously by maintaining the proper chlorine level in your pool. Our patented formula prevents Smart Sticks from dissolving too quickly so they'll last up to twice as long as ordinary chlorine sticks, tablets or pucks. Unlike other sticks or tablets, Smart Sticks only dissolve when the pump is on so you save money on sanitizer. Just drop the right number of Smart Sticks for your pool's size in the skimmer. For more convenience, also use a handy Smart Bag™. Not recommended for floaters or automatic feeders.

Step 2 -Oxidize with Smart Shock™
A smarter way to shock, oxidize, buffer and clarify with multi-functional Smart Shock. And its special blue algicide crystals kill algae. Better still, swimmers can re-enter the pool as little as 15 minutes after treatment with this premium product that requires no mixing or pre-dissolving.
Keep Algae Out!
Step 3 - Back Up® Algae Inhibitor to prevent algae.
Prevent algae before it starts with this important final component. This step works in combination with the first two to create layers of protection against algae. Rely on long-lasting Back Up to work even harder when you need it most - especially during mid-summer when water temperatures rise. There's no mixing or pre-dissolving necessary. Use non-foaming Algae All 60 in pools with attached spas or water features.
Optimize The Program
Add Optimizer® Plus™* to suppress algae and allow your sanitizer to focus on controlling bacteria. It enhances water quality, reduces eye and skin irritation, and creates sparkling clear pool water. Because it helps your sanitizer concentrate on its primary job, you may find you use less sanitizer - a money-saving situation. *Optimizer Plus is not available in California.
