The Gentle, Non-Chlorine Alternative
SoftSwim® offers gentle, yet extraordinarily effective pool care. BioGuard's SoftSwim leaves pool water feeling soft to skin, eyes and hair. And it's also gentle on pool surfaces. Plus, the three basic SoftSwim products are liquid, so no mixing, diluting or feeders are necessary.
Softswim A - BioGuard Algicide
This is the first step to beautiful water. Use SoftSwim A regularly and algae will have no chance in your pool. SoftSwim A contains a special ingredient that works more effectively than any other algicide in the non-chlorine category. And it gets more effective when temperatures rise so the sun won't evaporate it.
SoftSwim B -BioGuard Sanitizer
SoftSwim B sanitizes pool water, preventing the growth of bacteria. Not only is SoftSwim's biguanide sanitizer effective, it's stable. That means the sun's UV rays will not decrease its effectiveness. These factors make SoftSwim B a long-acting sanitizer. Usually, applications of SoftSwim B are only required every two weeks; however, test regularly to make sure the level is maintained in its proper range: 30-50ppm.
SoftSwim C -BioGuard Clarifier
SoftSwim C keeps water sparkling clear by removing contaminants that cause cloudiness. This powerful clarifier and oxidizer also contains a stabilizer to help keep the chemicals in your pool water longer. Only SoftSwim has this winning dual formulation. Pool owners can be confident of the highest quality product, formulated to last up to 30% longer after application.

SoftSwim is the ideal program for certain residential pools. Consider this program if you pool has the following characteristics:
- Not more than 25,000
- Excellent circulation, using a sand filter
- Pump operates at least 12 hours per day
- Any surface type, but especially great for vinyl-lined pools
Optimize The Program
Like all the other BioGuard® Programs, SoftSwim benefits from Optimizer® PlusTM*. It helps SoftSwim B - the sanitizer - concentrate on its primary job of sanitizing pool water by controlling bacteria. Meanwhile, Optimizer Plus is busy suppressing algae. Its performance adds to the sparkling, clear look of your pool water. *Not available in California.
